The records of the County Auditor indicate that H. N. Sucksdorf and his wife granted to the Free Evangelical Lutheran Zion Gemende, four acres of land in the SW corner of SE 1/4 of SW 1/4, Section 6, Township 74 N, Range 41 W, in Silver Creek Township, upon which to erect a chruch and cemetery.
The church and cemetery is located on the north side of Highway 92 in east-central Treynor, across from Treynor High School. The cemetery is well kept and active. Burials are limited to member of the Zion Congregational Church.
