Green Valley Cemetery is nestled in a small valley between St. Joseph’s Cemetery on the one side and Walnut Hill Cemetery on the other. It is located at the northeast edge of Council Bluffs and can be accessed by using the entrance to Walnut Hill Cemetery, however, the caretakers of Walnut Hill have no records on Green Valley Cemetery.
It is known that this site was once used as a pauper cemetery, however, some stones do exist to mark the burials of lost loved ones. This cemetery has been recorded by the members of the Pottawattamie County Genealogical Society and any information regarding burials here may be obtained by contacting: PCGS, P.O.
