St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Keg Creek Township

The land for St. Paul Lutheran Church and Cemetery was given to the German Evangelical St. Paul Congregation by Chris Hamann and wife and consisted of four and seven-tenths acres in the NW 1/4 of NE 1/4 of Township 74 N, Range 42 W, Section 2, Keg Creek Township.

The cemetery is located on the south side of Highway 92, a little over a mile west of the town of Treynor, Iowa. The entrance is marked by short brick pillars. The cemetery is fenced, well preserved and active. The older part of the cemetery lies on a hillside facing east. An addition has been placed on the west side of the hill. This is visible from the highway as you approach from the west.

St. Paul Lutheran Church is located in Treynor, on the south side of Highway 92. It was originally located on the same land as the cemetery. The original parsonage, now a private home, is located adjacent to the east entrance of the cemetery.
