Belknap Cemetery

Belknap Cemetery is located one-quarter mile north of Highway 6 on 390th Street. According to a Warranty Deed recorded 26 October 1882, in book 128, page 551, Mr. D. C. Jackson and wife sold 2 acres for $50.00 to the Burial Association of Belknap Township for a cemetery. On 21 May 1934, a Warranty Deed was issued to the Trustee’s of Belknap Township. At the present time, Dale Bolton, Grant Harris, Sr. and Boyd Nilan are the Trustee’s of Belknap Township. Marshall Cooper is the sexton.

The cemetery is divided into three sections by a horseshoe-shaped road.  We divided it into North, Middle and South Sections for ease of reading.   It was read April 18th & June 6th, 2001 by Joyce Hickman & Vicki King.
