McIntosh, wife of John Jethro McIntosh, about February 7, 1874. John Jethro was the eldest son of William C. McIntosh. Sarah E. McIntosh (nee Melton), wife of William C. McIntosh, died May 16, 1881 and was buried in the family burial plot. William died July 23, 1887 and was buried July 24, 1887.

Upon the settling of his estate by his brother-in-law, Thomas Slater on January 10, 1888, the cemetery was set aside and described as follows: Part out of Section 1, T 76, R 44 consisting of 1-1/2 acres known as the McIntosh Cemetery, commencing at the South East corner of the NW 1/4 SE 1/4 running West 43 rods, thence North 12 rods, thence South 2 rods to the place of beginning. Thomas Slater was married to Louisa C. Melton.
